EA Sports has recently submitted a new blog entry on its EA Sports MMA page, talking about ways you can dominate your opponent in the ring through cage/ring control. Here’s a sample from the article…
“The ability to impose your will and your position on your opponent will give you an advantage that is not blatantly obvious. If used correctly, it can set the pace for an entire round and can have your opponent in panic mode… forcing them to make mistakes.
Judges see ring control as Fighter A in control of Fighter B. If you have your opponent backed up against the ropes (or cage), this shows the judges that a mistake has been made by the cornered fighter, and he must react quickly in order to get out of this situation. This is seen as an advantageous position, and can work wonders in the score cards if used properly.”
